Animal Number One...

Okay, so as a break from the fuzzy math of the loan guys and the plethora of chicken coop info running through my frazzled mind.  I turn my attention to the very first animal to be welcomed to the farm.  Take a second and get your guess ready.  Goat, or cow?  Maybe chicken...

Nope, as every wise man out there will attest, the first animal to come onto the farm is the one that will make the wife the most happy.  After all, farm life is about enjoying home and family, Right?  With a less than happy misses, pleasant farm life is not going to be attainable. Therefore, her wants and desires shall be attended to first.   How does that translate into a specific animal.  Easy 10 years of marriage is now currently hanging on my ability to know what the right animal choice is.  Feathers or fur?  Barn or porch?  Drum roll please ...

If the first animal brought home is not four legged and golden, I might as well sleep in the barn!  My quest for the perfect Golden Retriever pup is under way.
